Hi Carley. If it was me, from the sound of your history, and what you are now doing, I would probably try to get cardioverted to a NSR and see how long it held.
I had no choices to make when I started fibbing. The maze was not available 35 years ago. I spent many years on different drugs, and it took a big toll on me in side effects from the medications.
As good as the maze is now, and if your AF was degrading your life style more than you want, then I would go for a cure.
This is all a personal choice, and you have to make that decision on how you feel, and how bad you want to stay off the AF medications.
