Chris, I had several events of afib after my maze. I too was very discouraged that the maze may not have been successful. In retrospect, I have learned that the heart takes time to heal after the invasive maze procedure. Be patient, it's been 8 months since my maze and I have to say it took me at least 6-7 months to really know if mine was a success. Keep us posted, and don't get discouraged.
