Hi,Gayle. Last year I had a Mitral valve repair and a maze. I had the surgery at the end of August and it took about 8 weeks to heal. There were no setbacks and now 9 monts later I am feeling great. Please e-mail me if you have any questions and I will be happy to answer. Tim Effingham
