I used to read those nutty Afib boards because I didn't know any better. Hans Larsen has turned his board into a money-making venture. There was another board, started by Dr Cox's nurse which went on and on about meds, etc, but never got anywhere. I particularly remember a lady from Washington State who could turn out paragraph after paragraph of absolutely useless information.

I finally came across a post by Carl (I think he was proselytizing) that mentioned Jack's board, and, within months of that happy occasion, I had received the Maze.

I got the impression from reading those boards, that Afib had become a hobby, or a common interest, like crocheting or something, and the people would meet on their boards for a nice chat, rather than taking serious, determined steps to cure the problem.

Well, it takes all kinds ...
