The search explanation is an excellent suggestion. I take for granted sometimes that I understand how this software works and functions. I'll start working on that.

I had avoided doing the messages by number or date since it isn't absolute. Also, they don't break at a round number. For example, if I put a reply to a message on page one right now, both the date and message number would be way out of place. Then someone looking for message 3937 would be totally lost trying to find it.

I've been debating that ever since. It may be that a breakdown of messages 1-1000, etc. would be best with an explanation as to the potential exceptions. I think I'll do that.

The whole search thing has been on my mind too. I have wanted to move the message board to the new site (www.mazesurgery.com), but am reluctant to split up the messages. I will likely need to move the whole message base, but then the index pages would have to be re-written somehow as the references are all to this site. There is a company that can rebuild the indexes, so I may check into that. Software that was able to do a global replace would also serve that purpose. I don't know if FrontPage will do that or of any others that might. I'll check into that.

I've wanted the MAZE site to be totally separate. I need to build up the MD Diet site and not have them mixed together. I've also had plans brewing over a MAZE foundation to expand the site and possibilities. It could begin by paying some of these basic costs, help expand and promote the site, and even grow to the point of helping individuals with MAZE expenses. Kind of like a MAZE scholarship program.

It's all a little limited by my time and anyone with expertise in websites, etc. is very welcome to participate in any way. This site Jack started has done so much good for so many. Lives like mine have literally been saved. My two toddlers have a father.

I constantly wonder what life would be like - or even if I would be alive - if Jim Pope had not pointed me to this site and Jack hadn't started it. And... I wonder about those that aren't so fortunate and how we might reach out to them more.
