I had the Maze by McCarthy in Cleveland on June 30, 2000. Three days after I was discharged from CCF, I developed Atrial Flutter and ended back in the hospital. I was put on Rythmol and Metoprolol, electro cardioverted to NSR and discharged once again. The meds were only supposed to stay for three months but were extended to six months because of frequent palpitations. They have subsided some but are still with me.I have not had any further episodes of Aflutter nor have I had any post surgery Afib- just these annoying palpitations.An event monitor identified them as PVC's.
I was just wondering if any other maze alumni had any problems with post maze PVC's and, if so, for how long.
