Dear John, thank you so much for this information. I too have bad back problems. Did you mean that I should put them as a factor along with the Afib? Like most everyone on this site, I have lone afib, but so far have no other heart problems (though it's bound to change if my afib keeps up the way it's going inspite of my three ablations). I was told I don't look sick (except when I'm fibrillating of course) and this would make it difficult to get disability. I was also told that if you have an advanced degree it's harder or even impossible to get disability (this doesn't seem fair, or even logical!), do you happen to know if that is true? thanks again, Kati
