Dr. Hammer had me take 325 dosage to start with; approximately six months later, my local cardiologist dropped it to 81. I was under the assumption that the aspirin was due to the mitral valve repair because my twin sister had the maze at the same time as me (without a mitral valve repair) and Dr. Hammer did not tell her to take aspirin.??
