Pete: There seem to be a lot of "triggers" for afib. Some of us suffered from "exercise induced" afib, some have been like you, at least early on, able to convert with exercise. Stress/anger,beer(less than one),lots of wine, MSG, fatique, dehydration/exercise,were all pretty reliable triggers for me as I progressed through stronger/larger doses of meds. It is a progressive condition, which is not going to get better, although elimininating enough "triggers" might slow it's progression. Cures are getting better at an unbelieveable rate, but the best NOW seem to be the Maze at several locations/surgeons, or ablations at the Cleveland Clinic. Of course, you can be like some of us, and wait several years for "the next great thing to come down the pike". Several of us heard those promises 7-10 years ago, and missed out on a lot of life, and then had the Maze, when those "promises" failed to materialize. Rob Hamill stated it well in his post to Jimmy earlier today.
