"I had a high risk policy with Blue Shield of California but they covered my maze and let me go to CC. It cost me about $5,500 out of pocket with the deductable. Then, Blue Cross one year after my cure dropped my premium to normal rates which saved me lots of money. Try the Blues."

Hi Steve,
I copied and pasted part of a previous message you posted regarding Insurance coverage by the Blues. Would you email me and provide me with their contact info so I can call them, please? What kind of questions do they ask in their "interview" phase before they approve coverage? What kind of questions do I need to be sure and ask them regarding coverage for Maze surgery. I want to do all my homework and come to the table prepared before I make the call(s).

IF "Blues" weren't willing to approve coverage for my friend, any suggestions where else I should turn?

Also, what do you mean when Blue let you go to "CC?" How long did it take for your insurance coverage to go into effect and how long after (was there a waiting period?) until you could have the surgery?

Many, MANY Thanks,
Michelle
