Sarah

I just wanted to correct some information referenced about my case in today's post. While I know you were able to read my previous posts in this board's archive, I don't recall that you and I have actually spoken. There may be an imposter out there? (grin)

Yes I am told that, for me, junctional rhythm is my norm. And yes, I am supported very well by it. My issues seem to be that I have heart that is in excellent muscle condition, and as my cardiologist also comments "my pipes are clear"....my issues have turned out to be the circuitry which I presume was likely masked by my over 25 years in a-fib.

I do have a pacer, which I did not initially want, and which was implanted 10 months after the maze due to highly erratic rhythms that had suddenly developed at both the high rate end (over 200bpm) and the low rate end (per the Holter I was as much as 8.5 seconds between beats). And, if you can imagine, I could not tell when these things were happening.

I am quite active...playing racquetball every week, and rowing from time to time last season as well. I was able to do these activities both before the pacer and after. The imposter was wrong. (grin)

I continue to read posts here, especially those relating to ablation procedures as I may have that ahead of me yet too.

Best wishes!

Roger
