Since my right sided ablation, i have been going in/out of junctional rhythm. I used the search engine, and found posting by Roger Meyer, who is in constant junctional rhythm. I talked to him on phone and explained to me that "junctional" is when only the ventricles (two bottom chambers) are contracting, and doing all the work of pushing the blood through your heart, while the atria are just sitting there, doing nothing.

I am amazed that Roger can live in constant junctional rhythm !! While it sustains his life, it doesn't tolerate much exertion. The docs told him it had something to do with poor SA (sinoatrial)node function, and the cure for that is usually a pacemaker, which he didn't want.

In one of Allie's post, she mentioned Dr. Natale does a SA node modification. That seems to be using RF to burn certain areas around the SA node to redirect the electrical impulses to where the belong.

Hope this helps, but remember, everything i've learned about this subject, is from other's on this board, and may/may not be the Gospel truth.
