Brian,see the former postings and the very instructive answers of Steve Giddings.I've been told that the atrial transport(kick) after the maze is not sufficient in 50% of the cases.It seems to be of not a big importance.It has not a big impact on exercise and as long as you are in NSR (=no stasis of blood)the chance of stroke will be (theoretically,there are no surveys of that,that I know of) as in a normal population.Anyway this is what I've been told by a cardiologist who specializes in bloodthinning and atrial fibrillation.I am in the same situation as you.I don't worry and I don't take any medicin.Hans
