Tim: I think most of us former afibbers can relate to your experience of suddenly realizing that we are now doing things we could never do without expecting afib to flare up on us. However, I don't think any of us would enjoy your experience with a lightning strike 4-5' in front of us. YOUCH! (Perhaps you were simultaneously cardioverted by the jolt!) Obviously, the maze has changed your life significantly by getting you back in the Captain's seat.

Allie: Just hang in there! It is way too early to think that you are in the 20% who MAY need a touch-up ablation. Three or four months post ablation, you might start thinking that way if you are still having some problems. From the reports here, Dr. Natale should be able to finish the job on a second try. Please keep us informed as to your progress.
