I had the Maze on Sept 18. Did not wake up with the ventilator. I assume it was removed before I woke up. Don't remember much of anything that day until I did wake up. If you get sinus infections check out flonase. I was totally plug up before I started using it. Could not breath or smell. Have only had one major runny nose in the last two years. Everyone is different. Jack says he was sleeping in the bed after one night in the recliner. Took me two or three weeks to get from the recliner to the bed. As for travel I would fly if at all possible. I only live five hours away from Boise and had to stay overnight. Which presented the problem of sleeping in a bed. I made it through the night barely. Also I stayed in Boise for two weeks after the surgery. Good luck and God Bless.David Hover
