Not knowing where you are going, or who your surgeon is, I cannot offer any more info as to what you might expect. At the Cleveland Clinic, it was not NEARLY as "big a deal" as I imagined, and I could not believe how fast my energy level returned.

Just remember that about 1/3 of the maze patients have some arrhythmias for awhile post-maze, and a very few of them have to have a "touch-up" ablation several months later to achieve a "cure".

If you give us some details as to where you are going to have the procedure, etc., there may be someone who has literally "been there, done that".
