Steve, you must be a California boy. I met with Dr. Gaudiani prior to my maze and was very impressed with him. He has quite a reputation and is a very personable individual. I also researched the hospital and it came out quite good. Having said this, I decided finally to go to CC from Ventura, CA just because it's CC and my insurance would cover it. There are a lot of good cardio-thoracic surgeons and Dr. Gaudiani is one of them. He studied under Dr. Cox and went to school for awhile with Dr. McCarthy.
