Your right, it sounds like the time has come. If I was 49, had a leaky mitral valve, atrial fibrillation and knew then what I know now and the MAZE was available-Boy oh boy! This can't happen for me but it can for you and many like you. You can get this thing properly evaluated and properly fixed and spare yourself possibly years of discomfort through the use of drugs. Dr. Patrick McCarthy at Cleveland Clinic fixed me and a lot of others with the same problem as yours. You should try to talk to him. Of all those that do this MAZE procedure, I think that McCarthy\Cleveland has the best track record.Whatever you do, I wish you the best. Joe C
