John: Your experience now mirrors that of most of us: fear of the unknown, apprehension about the process, and a real feeling of inner peace. Your inner peace is well-founded if Dr. Haydock was trained by Dr. Cox. I doubt that Dr. Cox has trained ANY slackers! You will probably doing more, sooner than you anticipate, particularly with the open chest routine, which I believe has had somewhat quicker full recovery to NSR, post maze.
Try to set up a "patient page" at www.thestatus.com so your wife or one of your sons might keep us up-to-date. You WILL have to provide us access to that page with your "patient name" and "password".

You will be in our thoughts and prayers on Tuesday.
