I've gotten two e-mails from Dr. "Bob", as he signs himself. (Dr. Schweikert)has obvioulsy been reading my files, and has sent me his running thoughts and opinions. NOT snotty, or in a language that is ment to intimedate a lay person. Just plain sweet!

He says he's not really surprised at the various types of arrhythmias, and they "may" not derive from different problematic sites, but very well may be part of Atrial Tachychardia. He would need more EPstudy information, and deal with them one at a time until we know. (My current EP doc has failed to send the records of the EPstudy and ablation done in December as yet. I SAT in Dr. Bob's office and talked to the nurse on the 31st, and insisted they fax them right away!)

He quotes that the "general" numbers for RF ablation of "straight foreward PVI" is 80%-85% with the same stats for complications as we've read: 2%stenosis, and 1%stroke.(Mike,John,Carl, your complication stat explaination does explain well how this 3%total is cut down for "most" of us). He says these statistics may/may not apply to ME because he needs more hard info. I DO want to know how many have to stay on meds, etc.

I'm still weighing Maze vs RF for "MY" hearts situation.

It's a good start in gathering information for the spring "cure" after the back heals.
