Beverly: If you provide the CC with ALL pertinent info, the other posts here lead me to believe that their surgeons will involve whatever other doctor might be needed. Remember-these guys are Cardiothoracic surgeons, and have probably done their share of heart AND lung surgeries.

I cannot imagine a facility which would take any more of a "comprehensive approach" to treatment, particularly as far as lung involvment might be concerned. This is not meant to imply that anything might be different at the Texas Heart Institute.

Don't be afraid to ask questions. Insist upon understandable answers. As so many have posted here, the experience at the CC is that they cover everything and want to be certain that the patient has ALL questions answered pre-surgery.
