Appreciate your input Steve. Obviously, I did not know about the need to collapse one lung when I started investigating the possibility of the "mini-Maze." From what you and others have said, it would seem that the open chest procedure is the only (possibly) sensible way. I especially appreciate your comments about the risk factors. During my office visit with Dr. Massumi on Thursday 1/09/03, I will make appropriate inquiries.
