There is a saying that "you can't manage what you don't measure". Without metrics to indicate how successful any given procedure is, there is no data and little motivation for improving the procedure. Therefore, if a doctor couldn't answer a question regarding how many patients he has ablated in the past year and the percent of successes and associated risk percentages, I would have no confidence in that doctor.
