Don't know if the good doctor aproved of these statistics sent out from his office, but here are some sentences pasted from an e-mail, sent from a Ruth Duncan, reguarding what I think were pretty simple questions. Especially since i've just read CC's published stats.

The following "Dear Ruth--What are Dr. Jackman's stats? How many PVI ablations has he done? How many per year? What is his success rate for someone like me with lone AF? What is his rate of complications?"

Response:
"This is not a set of numbers that is published anywhere that I'm aware of and I would have to do a considerable amount of reseach to come up with the actual numbers. I do keep records, but I don't have time now to go back for the last ten years and count fib cases.
> The sucess rate is running between 50 and 70%, depending on the individual patient. This is not something that has an across-the-board answer. The complication rate for ablation of atrial fib is an approximate overall 5%, with several things included in that.this is not like buying a car or something. There are no "PAT" answers when you are dealing with health issues because each person is different."

This is the EP that MY EP is recommending. Kind of a turn off, hugh?
