In November 1985 at the age of 43 I suffered a severe MI and several flatline arrests during the following 24 hours.
Somehow I managed to survive, but left me with frequint severe and prolonged bouts of Ventricular Arrythmias causing either great discomfort or complete blackout. None of the usual drugs of the day had any effect until an investigational drug Amiodarone was tried.
The Amiodarone did stabelized my heart rithm, which was very nice, but one of the side effects was that my shin turned quite blue and upset my thyroid. At the end of a year I went from 175 pounds to 130 pounds in about 6 weeks, so I had to stop the drug.

This was my experience, however, if it was not for the Cordorone, I would probably not be around to give this account.
