Here is a new one. 2 months after I had the maze done, I started getting gall bladder attacks. After about 8 that went away by themselves after much pain and about 18 months, I finally had the big one that didn't go away, so I had the gall bladder taken out.
I lost about 25 pounds from the time I decided to have the maze to recuperation from the surgery. I am now told that it is not uncommon to have the gall bladder fail after losing a bunch of weight. It can't handle any fatty foods. A (proportional)lot of people on successful low fat diets might get an attack.
Has anyone else experienced one of these after the maze, or am I in left field somewhere?
Oh by the way, the gall bladder operation is probably more painful than the maze.
