Hey Steve, thanks for the post. I'll have you know that I was your Provincial foreign trade representative in the Western U.S. in my younger years so I know Ontario and Toronto pretty well. Many of us (if not most) were chronic AFib when we went in for our maze. The maze cures AFib no matter how long you have had it. Unlike some of us who knew nothing about the maze when we first had AFib, you have all of this information available. Good luck with the ablation. That is a good first step and Canada, particularly, Ontario has some very good doctors so like you, I wouldn't worry. If it doesn't work, then you have the maze to fall back on. I was chronic for a year before my maze so you will be OK.
