Congratulations! I have been post-PVA 8 months now and am doing absolutely spectacular! My insurance co. also pulled the denial and said it was experimental etc. as well as the fact that I could have it done locally. Well, they couldn't find anyone in the entire state of WA to do it (one fella just started) and when they received the letter from Dr. Schweikert, they really had no basis for refusal. I have to agree that sticking with the appeals process is exactly what you need to do. Consider getting in touch with your states Insurance Commissioner ... heck, call your insurance carrier for the number so they get the idea of what lengths you are willing to go to for your "cure". I'd be more than happy to share what experience I have had with this same problem not all that long ago ... please feel free to email me. If you wish, I think I spelled it out pretty well in previous posts ... sometime around the month of March.

Stick with it. They really are just waiting for you to drop it .. so if you stick with it they will run out of excuses why they must deny.

Best of luck to you! BTW, who's your doc at CC? I had Netalae and Schweikert and can't say enough about them and the staff at CC. You will surely be in the best of hands .. in my humble opinion.

Greetings to all!

Angie
