Hey Rodger. I am pleased that your surgery went well. Like Jack mentioned, the prospect of depression after the maze hasn't been discussed much and since I never endured it, I probably won't be too helpful. But, I will tell you that after my surgery, I just seemed to be focused on the future and what I could now accomplish. I set up a list of trips I wanted to do, running events I could compete in and anything else that seemed like fun was put on the schedule. Everyday as I improved, I was closer to the first hiking trip or run down to the beach. As I moved forward, I felt better and better. I am also a 58 year father of a seven year old so my focus was now on what I could do with her and did we ever have fun. I wish I had a prescription for you but I'm not qualified for that. But, maybe looking forward to all of these new options in life might help.
