Always sedentary? That would be something I would want to explore. Was there a time when aerobic or extreme exertion, even hiking, biking, etc. might have caused damage?

My AF didn't become severe until I became restrained in activities. Someone that knew me now or even over the last 10 years would probably construe me as sedentary and I would rate myself that way on any medical forms.

Just a few thoughts. Like I said, maybe it is something that age, stress, aerobic exercise or other factors brings to the surface. I think my pedetrician may have diagnosed a heart murmur and slow rate before I was a serious skier or into stress.
