Afib-ugh!

Hello.... Just wanted to day how happy I was to stumble onto this site. I am 47 y.o. dx w/ paroxsymal afib about 4 years ago. They began once a month for 6-18 hours but now occur every 1-2 days for about 2-4 hours. I've trialed about 10 meds and will be seeing my cardiologist next week and of course mentioning the maze! My mom was dx with this at my age and died at 70 after years of strokes, not knowing her kids(while on coumadin), from the paroxymal afib that turned in to chronic at some point. Thanks for the info...it's nice knowing that I'm not experiencing this scary thing alone!
