Dave,

Are you sure that they are Premature atrial contractions (PAC) and not Premature ventricular contractions (PVC)? Have you had them captured on an EKG or Holter? The reason I ask, is that I use to have PACs and very rare PVCs before the Maze (3/29/2002). Now after at least 100 hrs of holter recordings, I find that I have no PACs (at least I haven't found any) but now have PVCs. The PVCs seem to get worse when I'm hot, tired, or after and during a hard workout. When I am having a lot of PVCs it almost feels like my old friend afib getting ready to start. Before the maze I would have several pac and that would sometimes start my afib. Based on other on this site I expect the PVC to sort of go away with time. At least that's what I'm hoping for.
