The website is at:

The distances each day will normally vary between 40 -75 miles. There should be two rest days during the week where you can bike a local loop or hang out at the pool/beach.

This year there were lots of people in their 70s and other people that I doubt biked more than a few times a year. They just spun on down the road like everyone else. Remember you have all day to go the distance and there are rest stops every 10-15 miles, and also attractions to visit. It's not a race. Most people go at a moderate pace and have no problem (especially since there aren't big hills in Florida). The only real complaints are sore butts from those who haven't bike enough beforehand to get use to it.

This was my first year and I had a great time! I met terrific people and the scenery was excellent. I am looking forward to doing it again next year, but without the afib that spoiled the 5th day of the trip for me this year. I did 50 miles that day, but I had to keep stopping to rest.

It would be great to see some you at Bike Florida 2003!! Best wishes, Mike
