From my very recent experience with the CCF and Dr. McCarthy, his nurse will more than likely talk with you first and want all your records to review before they will even set up an initial consult to make sure you meet basic criteria. He reviewed me and my history is pretty extensive plus I had open heart this past Oct. At first, I was a little upset, because I felt this was kind of not fair to judge through what is on paper, but now am greatful I did not waste time by going to see Dr. McCarthy him reviewing my records there still saying no, then having to get an appt. with Dr. Natale. So, I guess the really do know what they are doing up there-LOL!! This way when I saw Dr. Natale we actually made some progress on treatment!
