It's great that you are able to communicate with others who have been there before. My operation(s) and everything else that followed started in 1986, when I was practically allon my own but with Dr Cox's understanding and support. Since my last corrective surgery, the modified maze, I've been in NSR. In fact, my health has been so good I have no limitations at all since then. The extra beats or whatever are par for this course and must not upset you. A Fib is a thing of the past for those of us who have remained in NSR for a significant period. Even if there are recurrences these can easily be controlled with medication for the circumstance and not as a long term treatment.
