Do not worry too much.I am more than a yaer after the maze now and still have extra beats especially when I am stressed or tired.I feel them in my throat en on my chest.But even when I don't feel them and I check my pulse, they are still there! At first I was very afraid,because before the maze this was the sign that the a-fib was coming again.But it never happened.And the extra beats seem to be harmless,so I try to ignore them.I don't take medicin for it,but I can understand that if you feel very uncomfortable with it,you take a beta blocker from time to time.Remember,it's the NSR what counts!
