Kristine & Ozzie: First, I CANNOT suppress the thought so many of us former afibbers must have re: so many cardiologists we have encountered- THEY could do well to stick their heads in ice water- it might wake them up to what's happening in the real world! OK, that off my chest, I agree with Kristine, Ozzie, that "bearing down", and cold water used to sometimes kick me out of afib/aflutter; but I do remember some cases where ice cream or a cold beer instantly put me into afib. Who knows how this is explained?
I also wonder if you have contacted the CC, Ozzie, to find out about a touch-up ablation such as Henry (and some others) have had in the last few months. This might be all you need, although it is a heck of a trip from Egypt! For NSR, I would travel to the end of the world if afib ever came back!
Ozzie, if you will travel to the CC for an evaluation and perhaps ablation like Kristine is about to do, I will travel to the CC to congratulate you (and thank Dr. McCarthy), in person. Perhaps Kristine can remind Dr. Natale that you were there last fall and are having a problem. Maybe that might move you up in the line for an appointment.
