Hello everyone, Its been a long time since I posted my story. So here it is!!I had been in and out of AF for five years before having a valve replacement, along with the maze procedure. It was done in Rochester,MN, by DR James Morris, in 1994. I had NRS for six great years!!!!One of the pathways scarred too much causing the AF to come back!!My doctor in Rochester wanted to to try tikosyn, but sinse I had tried about every heart rythum medicine out,I just kept having cardioverstion!! They would only last six months then back to AF!!!!My doctor in Rochester said he would try the ablation, butI had visited with a few people on this board, and deceided to go to CC.I seen Dr Natale and he said i would be a very difficult case. He wanted to to wait until Sept for a new cathater, so he had me try tikosyn, and they cardioconverted me again. I got awful sick as soon as i got home, and they had me stop taking it. Im now waiting for an ablation. In answer to Carl' quesiton i havent had any trouble with my valve!!Im not sure if i had the cut and sew procedure, (i think i did.)!!!!My problem is in the left atrium.!!!!I really enjoy this support board, it helps alot to know I'm not the only one with these problems!! Thanks to everyone!!! Stay healthy!!!! I promise to keep you enformed on my progress!!! I almost forgot, had any one on here had the ablation that also has an artifical valve? I know its a tough question just thought I'd ask!!!! Best Of luck to everyone one!!!! Patricia Payton
