Patricia: I'm sure others would be interested in some details re: your maze & 8 years subsequent afib.

Could you tell us: 1) Are you having any "valve problems" again?
2) Where was your maze performed and by whom?
3) Do you know if it all "cut & sew" or were some cryo ablation "lines" included?
4) Do you know where the "problem area" is in your heart where they are going to ablate?(left or right
atria or pulmonary veins)

I certainly agree with you about NSR being wonderful and worth the price of even multiple open chest
maze procedures (MY opinion); but as you can see from other posts here, a "touch-up" ablation seems to be the
answer for the few people who need it post-maze. I hope you are having this done at one of the three
centers currently using the latest, high success techniques, such as the CCF.

We will be awaiting your return to NSR and a full life again. Please continue to post your story and progress.
