Georges: In my "search" for you, I discovered that Cyprus must be a pretty good place to go among the civilized countries of the world if you "don't want to be found".

Anyway, I am delighted that you have "joined" us, having been a true "pioneer" with Dr. Cox, with what was truly ground breaking surgery in '86-'87. Your contributions to this board will be welcomed by those of us who have had the maze in more recent years but have not been able to answer the persistant question of many: "But what are the long-term results of the Maze?" Being the second maze "recipient" gives considerable credibility to your posts. Your experiences will comfort both mazers and prospective mazers alike, as we have not had the benefit of such a long term "mazer" posting here.

My heartfelt thanks (pun kind of intended) to you for having the determination (which, according to Dr. Cox, is an understatement) to actively pursue having the maze done so early in it's development. Without you and Karl Best, and the next several patients having the courage to do it, the rest of us might never have been blessed with new, full lives. Thank you!
