Thanks for your comments, Anders. I hope that your "guess" is right and that the bursts will disappear; but I'll gladly put up with those bursts (for a while, anyway) if they don't initiate afibs.

I live in northwestern Washington State and hike in the north Cascade Mountains. Because we have a good snowpack this year (one of my ski partners just climbed Mt. Shuksan last week and got about a 4,500' run) and the snow level is still low on the west side of the mountains where precipitation is heavier, Linda and I went to the east side of the range where they get less snow and warmer temperatures that melt the snow earlier. Nevertheless we still ran into snow at about 4,300'. With the warm temperatures we're getting, that won't last long and we'll be able to hike more trails soon.

Thanks again for your encouragement, Anders. I hope your family learns to enjoy the mountains the way you do.
