Congratulations Pete. I think you will find that as time passes, the maze was the way to go. You are lucky to have a cardiologist that supports you. I was on amiodarone before I had heard about the maze. It worked but after 5 months I had to come off of it because of a nagging cough. The cough went away after a few weeks off of the drug. Don't let these minor problems bother you too much. I'm 3 months post maze and doing great. Do the stretching exercises and walk,walk ,walk. Good luck to you and keep posting.
