Thanks Pete. Glad to have you aboard and doing ok.
I can't give you any personal experience on amiodarone, and I never had the in and out of NSR after surgery. There are a lot of people that do go in and out of AF for awhile, but the main thing is that the success rate is very high for the maze.
It is my feeling that the newer methods (RF, Cryo, Microwave, and other energy forms), of making the lesions, even being easier, and faster, are not as effective as quick as the cut and sew methods that I had. My surgeon used a small amount of cryo surgery, but basically was cut and sew. I think now the majority of lesions are formed by some type of energy source. The main thing is we all usually end up in NSR, which I have been for 51 months now.
