Way to go David,

This is no easy decision and one that takes a lot of soul searching. This website is a great place to get the honest opinions of other AFIB sufferers or make that ex-sufferers. The Cox-Maze really works and can give you your life back. My prayers go with you and your family. Enjoy your daughters wedding (I celebrate my 32nd anniversary on aug 8th)and then get that heart fixed. All of us who regularly post on this website will be in your corner.
