A couple of thoughts:
It is absoutely normal to be apprehensive about major surgery such as the MAZE procedure.
Most cardiologists are woefully uneducated on a-fib and the latest treatments that are available.
The facility and staff in the surgical unit at Ownen's Heart Center at Mission St. Joseph Hospital in Asheville are outstanding.
Dr. Burton and his staff are Awesome!
