Dear John,

It is only my theory, but I feel that drugs are an annuity for some doctors. They prescribe the drug and schedule follow ups every 3-4 months. If they aren't in the business of performing the procedure themselves, why would these doctors reccomend a cure to the very patients that pay for their sportfishing yachts and waterfront mansions? The surgery is risky and might not be for everyone, but couldn't taking drugs for the rest of your life one day catch up to your liver? And besides, even if the drugs work, which they didn't for me, don't they lower your quality of life? The drugs made me slower and depressed. Although it was a major operation, the Maze was the only choice for me. You have to make the choice that is best for you and your lifestyle.
