I am 48 and have had PAF for 10 years.Episodes last 24-48 hours with 1 attack every 1-2 weeks.
I live in the UK.
I have also been to Papworth and spoken to Dr Large who does the Maze.
He said that I should try a PVA before making any decision about the Maze as the ablation success rate at Papworth was 40-50% these days. As the success of the Maze at Papworth is 80% and it is a very big operation the PVA does seem worth a try first.
