Bob hit a bump in the road. His heart rate went up to 176. He called CC and was told to go to the emergency room. We went to Allegheny Valley Hosp. His potassium level was dangerously high the Dr. said. They put him on IV and gave him a shot of insulin and had him drink something that would get the potassium out of his digestive tract. It sure made him go to the bathroom. His rate went to 150, the Dr. called CC and they told them to give him rythmol every 6 hours, if he doesn't convert by morning, they will shock him. They also gave him vioxx. CC said this is not unusual and is to be expected. He was doing so well that this came as a shock. He is still feeling great and not in any pain.
