Tim, your condition looks like mine, lone paroxysmal AF with no other heart condition. I've tried all the rhythm control drugs, been on Tikosyn for the last 9 months yet I live a roller coaster life, NSR for a couple of days then afib for maybe a day and around and around I go - when I'm in I can do anything and I'm a very physical person, but in afib in warm weather I wilt - a real downer. Medical types and my wife say feel good that you convert on your own and your rate doesn't top maybe 120 while working out in afib - you know it messes with your brain and I really wonder what it is doing to my heart. So you think there is no standard that has to be met for CC and the ins. companies to give the thumbs up - just say it is a "quality of life" decision!
