Michelle, I had never heard of the AFX procedure, but have heard of the microwave maze. I know that at the CC, Dr. Gillinov was working on the microwave maze, and had been doing some procedures, but to start they were also open heart. He did say that they were trying to develope a method of doing them without it being open heart, but had never heard if it had been done.
Please let us know what you decide on, and all the information you can on this procedure.
